The invention relates to a stone-glass element comprising at least one thin stone plate (1) and a supporting plate (2) connected to said stone plate on the large surface thereof, wherein the supporting plate comprises at least one glass pane which is bonded to the stone plate by means of a transparent or opaque casting resin layer (3), a barrier layer (4) is applied to at least one surface of the stone plate (1) in front of the casting resin layer (3) and the diffusion of the stone plate (1) material into the casting resin layer (3) or of the casting resin layer (3) material into the stone plate, respectively, is blocked by the barrier layer. The inventive stone-glass element does not exhibit any undesirable variation of the visual appearance thereof, thereby being suitable for a long-term use in the form of, for example, of a building façade element. |
