<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric ceramic composition having excellent capacitance-temperature characteristics and having high voltage resistance and excellent TC bias characteristics and to provide a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The dielectric ceramic composition comprises a principal component containing a compound containing Ba, Ca, and Ti and having a perovskitic crystal structure represented by the formula: ABO<SB>3</SB>and the fourth subsidiary component containing a Zr compound. The content of the fourth subsidiary component is above 0 to below 5 moles, in terms of Zr, per 100 moles of the principal component.
