<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display device and a driving method thereof, preventing wrong discharge generated in an address period and a sustain period when a temperature of a plasma display panel is outside of a predetermined temperature range. <P>SOLUTION: The driving method of the plasma display device includes a power recovery circuit for applying an address voltage to a third electrode utilizing resonance of an inductor which is electrically connected to the third electrode, and the capacitive load which is formed by a first electrode, a second electrode and a third electrode formed in a crossing direction with these. The method also includes; a first step for measuring the temperature of the plasma panel; a second step for determining whether to perform power recovery operation in the address period using the measured temperature; a third step for applying a reset wave form to the first electrode; and a step for generating the address voltage in the address period according to the determination of the power recovery operation after the third step and applying the address voltage to the third electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
