USE OF PHYSICAL BARRIER FOR MINIMIZING HEAT LOSS BY VAPORIZATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection system and method where influence of the heat loss by evaporation from a surface of a sample on enthalpy variation occurring in the sample is reduced when the volume of the sample is small like a small drop.

SOLUTION: In the detection system and detection method having a detection device and anti-evaporator, a cavity 42 disposed in the anti-evaporator limits the evaporation from a drop 52 by substantially surrounding a sensing region 44 for arranging the drop 52 including an analysis object.
