<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxygen concentrator which can be used safely by sensing the disconnection of a respirator for use with the respirator by connection to it. <P>SOLUTION: A pressure sensor for measuring the oxygen pressure in the oxygen concentrator monitors the pressure within a joint connected to the respirator, and the detected pressure is compared with a set pressure. When the detected pressure is lower than the set pressure, a time while the detected pressure is lower than the set pressure is measured. When the measured time is a predetermined time (for example, 30 seconds) or more, the connection between the oxygen concentrator and the respirator is determined to be disconnected, and the disconnection is reported by an alarm or the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
