PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a quantum cryptographic communication system and method capable of suppressing the number of key managements down to the degree of the number of entities, making quantum cryptographic communication equipment held by each entity inexpensive, guaranteeing confidentiality against Trojan horse attacks and guaranteeing unconditional security in a computational complexity manner and confidentiality to a key management station. SOLUTION: In this quantum cryptographic communication system provided with a single key management station 1 and a plurality of entities 2 as a network node, the key management station 1 and the plurality of entities 2 are subjected a mutual one-to-one connection by quantum communication paths capable of quantum cryptographic communication, are respectively connected to a classical communication network 3 capable of classical communication and authenticate classical communication in quantum cryptographic communication between optional entities through the key management station 1.
