PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable easily superimposing graphic data on display with a video signal in which line thinning is performed. SOLUTION: A controller 22 performs line thinning in displaying a video signal having the number of lines larger than the number of lines capable of being displayed by a panel 20. A signal EN indicating thinning lines is supplied from the controller 22 to a graphic processor 23 via a circuit 24. The graphic processor 23 controls output timing on the basis of the signal EN to output the graphic data per line. The output of the graphic processor 23 is superimposed on the video signal in a mixing circuit 21. The output of the circuit 21 is converted into a driving signal of an LCD 20 by the controller 22, and supplied to the LCD 20. Since the output of the graphics data is controlled at the timing of thinning lines, a dot pattern configuration and display control can be made to be common irrespective of the thinning.
