PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EL element having a new structure for bringing a luminance distribution of the element into a desired state. SOLUTION: This organic EL element 11 includes a first electrode 13, a second electrode 15, an organic light emission layer 14, a feeder portion 16 with auxiliary electrodes 17 formed thereon, and a plurality of connector portions 18. The organic light emission part 14 is arranged between the first electrode 13 and the second electrode 15. The first electrode 13 is formed of a material having a higher volume resistivity than that of the material of the second electrode 15. The feeder portion 16 is electrically connected to the first electrode 13 through the connector portions 18. The feeder portion 16, the first electrode 13 and the connector portions 18 are formed of the same material. The resistance values of the respective connector portions 18 differ from one another in correspondence with a position at which the feeder portion 16 is connected to the first electrode 13.
