PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electronic component for use as, for example, operation parts of various electronic devices that stabilizes soldered states of terminals after reflow soldering. SOLUTION: A case 21 is constituted by combining a main part 31 and a contact fixing part 32 with a slight clearance between. The clearance can absorb differences in thermal expansion/shrinkage between members including a wiring board 10 caused when the terminals 43 are reflow-soldered, to deter an influence on soldered portions of the terminals 43 and stabilize the soldered states of the terminals 43.
