PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an unlocking key capable of enhancing the degree of freedom in design for its head portion. SOLUTION: This unlocking key has a flat head portion 2 at the tip of a key blade 1 formed separately from the key blade 1; a part or the whole of the flat head portion 2 is formed with a head forming portion 4 fitted to a coupling portion 3 formed at the tip of the key blade 1; and the movement of the head forming portion 4 in a direction to release the fitting can be restricted by a key member 6 inserted from a key insertion opening 5 made on a peripheral wall surface of the flat head portion 2 and then fixed thereto.
