PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a false round bamboo material which can be easily formed to an identical size and an identical specification after the fashion of the outer shape of a natural bamboo. SOLUTION: This false round bamboo material is formed of a tubular main body 10 and a plurality of annular elements 20 fixedly installed at an interval in an axial direction on the outer surface 12 of the tubular main body 10. The annular elements 20 are each formed in the way that a segment near the middle part of the annular element 20 in the axial direction, assumes the shape of a protrusion 221 with an annular recessed groove 222 running around the circumference of the element 20. Especially the outer surface of the whole protrusion 221 is coated in a surface pattern of bamboo. Besides, the coating is applied in such a way that a joint formed by fixedly installing the annular elements 20 in the outer surface 12 of the main body 10, is covered to such an extent that the joint is invisible.
