PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens-holding device which makes a uniform metallic coating formed on a lens, and makes the lens simply and easily attached/detached to/from the device. SOLUTION: This lens-holding device includes: a main body 10; a first holding board 11 arranged therein; an insertion hole 111 formed therein; a strut member 22 to be inserted into the hole; and first and second lens-supporting members 14 and 15 for mounting and dismounting the lens 16 in between them, in a state of having detached the strut member 22. The film-forming method comprises: mounting the lens 16 between the lens-supporting members; inserting the strut member 22 into the insertion hole 111 in the first holding board 11 of the main body 10; arranging a strut 13 and the strut members 22 around the lens 16 at equal spacing; and in the state, forming the film on the lens 16.
