FILTER AND LIQUID DISCHARGE HEAD USING THE FILTER

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce possibilities that depositions isolated from a filter plug a flow passage or are stuck to the vicinity of an opening of a discharge nozzle to disturb the smooth discharge of ink.

SOLUTION: This filter is arranged in a liquid flow passage and consists of a sintered compact of a nonwoven fabric of a metallic fiber. This filter is characterized in that the attachment stuck to the surface of each of the metallic fibers existing in the outermost part and in its vicinity of the sintered compact is removed together with a surface layer of each of the attachment-stuck metallic fibers.
