PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure security even if an information processing terminal is carried out to the outside. SOLUTION: An information processing system comprises the information processing terminal and an external apparatus connected to the information processing terminal via a network. The external apparatus has a function of receiving from the information processing terminal or sending to the information processing terminal processing object information processed or to be processed by the information processing terminal. The information processing terminal comprises an arithmetic processing device, a main storage device for temporarily storing and holding information arithmetically processed by the arithmetic processing device only upon a power input to the information processing terminal, and a read-only storage device storing software executable by the arithmetic processing device. The arithmetic processing device has a function of reading from the read-only storage device and starting the software and processing the processing object information on the main storage device by the started software.
