<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for recording programs which can record the whole of a desired program even if its broadcasting time zone is changed after reservation operations. <P>SOLUTION: If an analog broadcasting program is reserved, an automatic program linking apparatus 102 detects the program and a program to be simulcasted from digital broadcasting. A program broadcasting time change detection apparatus 105 detects whether or not the broadcasting time zone of a program to be simulcasted is changed, based on program time information included in digital broadcasting.
