PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power steering device capable of generating good steering feeling even in case the road surface is wet. SOLUTION: The power steering device 1 arranged to add a steering assist force according to the steering condition is equipped with a road surface wetness sensing means 5 to sense the water/moisture at the road surface, a steering assist force setting means to set the steering assist force to be added in the direction in which the driver is steering, and a steering assist force changing means 7 to increase the steering assist force set by the setting means 7 when the sensing means 5 has sensed water/moisture.
