PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printed-circuit board which can be formed to the display position corresponding to the characteristics which the printed-circuit board has, and to provide an identifying method capable of easily identifying the characteristics of the printed-circuit board by forming an identifying means in the display position. SOLUTION: A printed-circuit board 1 comprises a circuit wiring region 1a wherein a circuit wiring pattern is formed, and a periphery region 1b arranged at the periphery of a circuit wiring region. In the periphery region 1b, a region 2 for a characteristics indication is provided with a display position 2a, 2b, 2c and 2d specified according to characteristics so as to display the characteristics of the printed-circuit board 1. The characteristics contain, for example, such as manufacturing lot information which indicates the attribute of the printed-circuit board 1, the inspection result information about electrical characteristics (for example, a poor short circuit, poor disconnection, and a poor wiring resistance, etc. ) the examination result information of visual inspection (for example, defective plating and defective silk etc. ).
