PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission device guide for developing sufficient guide strength for a long period without changing a guide outside dimension with an increase in the output or torque of an engine, reducing its weight and manufacturing cost, and allowing easy assembling work for a base frame and a shoe when assembling the guide. SOLUTION: The transmission device guide 100 comprises the shoe 110 for guiding a timing chain C travelling in slide contact therewith and the base frame 120 supporting the shoe 110. The shoe 110 consists of a side wall guard portion 111 for preventing the fall-off of the timing chain C sideways, a shoe central portion 112 for making the timing chain C in slide contact, and a hook portion 113 to be assembled on the base frame 120. The side wall guard portion 111 and the hook portion 113 are each formed with only a skin layer in a sandwich injection molding method. The shoe central portion 112 is formed with a skin layer in the sandwich injection molding method and a core layer having higher strength than the skin layer. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
