A microprocessor of control system (15) activates auxiliary power unit (40) and controls the engine and cabin parameters sensed by respective sensors, when the primary engine (20) of vehicle (10) is shutdown. The microprocessor monitors and controls air conditioning system of vehicle in response to cabin parameter and desired vehicle parameter obtained from a control module.
