The roof system roof parts (2,3,4) connected through kinematic devices (5,6) which are designed and actively connected to the roof parts so that the first roof part when the vehicle is fully open is positioned in the storage area (8) between the second roof part (3) and the third roof part (4). During an opening movement of the vehicle roof the third roof part is pivoted through the kinematic and pivotal kinematic devices into an intermediate position which releases the pivotal area of the first and second roof parts.
