The system has three air/water heat exchangers (2, 3, 4) and supply and return pipes for cooling water. A unit is provided for interrupting cooling water flow in the supply pipes. One of the exchanger is connected and/or disconnected based on the operating condition of the vehicle, where the condition is stored in an engine operating map. The condition is provided by operating cycle and speed of the vehicle.
