A carrier journal (21) is inserted in the central aperture (22) of the bobbin and is releasably anchored inside the bobbin core (11). There are clamping webs (23) between the carrier journal and the bobbing core. The webs are carried sideways and make a positive or non-positive connection with the inside of the bobbin core. The carrier journal has several mechanical monitors to indicate a false setting or the journal. The movements of the journal are controlled independently by means of a camera (38).
