1,016,500. Laminates and laminating. C. O. A. EKMAN, E. O. V. EKMAN, and B. BRUNDIN, [trading as LICENTIA, EKMAN & BRUNDIN]. Oct. 12, 1962 [Oct. 13, 1961], No. 38707/62. Heading B5N. A camouflage net comprising foil-like leaves adhesively secured to a net is made by placing the leaves, e.g. hexagonal pieces of plastic foil on a conveyer belt 1 and pressing the belt and leaves against a net 5 which has been passed through adhesive baths 8, 10. The net 5 is drawn from the roll 7 and moved into contact with the conveyer 1 by means of two endless chains 12 with hooks 13 (Fig. 2), and the conveyer 1 is forced against the net by a hump formed by a cross-bar 16, or a vane having an arcuate edge. To faciliate the application of the leaves the required pattern is projected on to the conveyer belt by a cine projector 14 which is driven in synchronism with the conveyer by means of a synchronous motor connected to a generator driven by the conveyer or chain 12. The conveyer belt comprises an outer web 1a of hessian supported by an inner web 1b of steel wire sheeting. |
