PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer giving films having a sufficient transparency without deteriorating the excellent mechanical characteristics and processing suitability of the ethylene-α-olefin copolymer. SOLUTION: The copolymer of ethylene with a 3-20Cα-olefin satisfies the following conditions (a)-(c). (a) A density of 0.850-0.950g/cm<3> . (b) The relation of a metal tension(MT) with a melt flow rate(MFR) at 190 deg.C satisfies the inequality: log(MT)>=-0.9×log(MFR)+0.06. (c) The copolymer satisfies inequality II: Tmax<=972D-813, inequality II: logW60 <=-0.114Tmax+9.48, and inequality III: logW90 >=0.0394Tmax-2.95. Therein, d is a density; Tmax is an elution peak temperature ( deg.C) in a cross fractionation measurement; W60 is the weight percent (wt.%) of a soluble content at <=60 deg.C; W90 is the weight percent (wt.%) of a soluble content at >=90 deg.C. |
