Transverse support beam for a vehicle

The beam has a metal tube (12) that is area wise enclosed with plastic (16) such that a plastic channel (20) is formed in a single-piece for guiding a conduit set (18). The metal tube is squeezed at both ends (12a, 12b), and bore holes (14) are provided at the both squeezed ends. Plastic plates (34) are casted on the squeezed ends of the metal tube, in which a through-hole (36) is provided. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle with a traverse support beam.
