<p>PURPOSE: A polystyrene regeneration apparatus is provided, to obtain the regenerated polystyrene without the degradation of physical properties of resins by dissolving polystyrene in a solvent to prepare a gel-state resin and weakly heating it under reduced pressure. CONSTITUTION: The polystyrene regeneration apparatus comprises a source dissolution tank(1) where polystyrene is dissolved to prepare a gel-state resin; a resin regeneration tank(7) which receives the gel-state resin transferred from the source dissolution tank by an electric screw(6) and heats the transferred one under reduced pressure to produce a solid regenerated resin by removing a solvent; and a solvent storage tank(5) which stores all the solvents and transfers the solvents into the source dissolution tank by using a pump. The electric screw is a single screw or a twin screw.</p> |
