The invention relates to an installation for separating gold ores from alluvial gravel. The installation comprises a metal sleigh (1) on which an internal combustion engine (2) driving a current generator (3) is mounted. A metal vat (16) with inclined bottom is fixed on the metal sleigh (1) by means of some supports (14 and 15), said vat supporting by means of a shaft (17) a tilting basket (18) provided with a metal conduit (19) having orifices wherethrough some washing water jets provided by a pump (8) are projected onto the gravel introduced in the tilting basket (18). The water in the tilting basket (18), together with the sand containing gold ore as spangles, passes through the bottom and perforated walls and runs into the metal vat (16) wherefrom, under the action of a water vein delivered under pressure through a conduit (28) passes through a discharge pipe (35) to a metal sieve (36) and, further on, to a metal chute (50) placed beneath the metal sieve (36), the sterile part being discharged to the outside through a conduit (51). The useful part is taken over by a conveyor (41) driven by an impeller (44) rotated by the water flow from the discharge pipe (35) and reaches a second chute (52) provided with an electric drying resistor (53). After drying, the fine sand and gold ore mixture is fed through a funnel (57) into an amalgamation device (A) where it is mixed with mercury, homegenized and then compressed between two pistons, the sand and the separated gold ore being then collected in a transparent vessel (140).
|
