A thermoplastic mesh is of the type which is affixed over guttering to prevent ingress of debris and has two arrays of flexible ribs perpendicular to each other so as to form apertures. The mesh also has a third array of heavier reinforcing ribs intended to lie parallel to the guttering direction which are spaced apart 20 to 50 mm with the top of each reinforcing rib not protruding above the upper surface of the mesh and each heavier rib being between 3 and 6 mm wide.
