The assembly has a central bar (1) and lateral bars (2, 3) assembled such that they are separated by longitudinal gaps (6, 6`). A base (5) blocks the bars (2, 3) against the bar (1) used as a joining bar. The bars (1, 2) are assembled side-by-side for being used as a transition bar for a floor. The bars (1, 3) are assembled side-by-side for being used as an edge bar. A surface coating (4) is applied on the bars for covering the gaps. The joining bar is placed between two floors, and the transition bar ensures a transition between the floor and ground or between two floors for masking height differences between the floor and ground or between two floors. The edge bar utilized as a finishing unit between the floor and a vertical wall such as wall or partition. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method of fabricating a floor finishing assembly (2) a method of installation of a floor finishing assembly on a floor.
