The method involves calculating a correction voltage based on a limitation error, if a phase current vector module of an asynchronous motor (M) is greater than a limit value. The voltage is divided by a constant (k) and is subtracted from a stator frequency to obtain a corrected stator frequency. The corrected frequency is multiplied with the constant based on a U/F control law (LC) to obtain a control voltage applied to the motor. An independent claim is also included for a speed controller`s output current limiting system for an electric motor.
