<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a plasma display panel that has high luminance and high white color temperature. <P>SOLUTION: The plasma display panel comprises a first substrate 11, and a second substrate 20 forming a discharge space in which discharge gas is sealed between the first substrate and itself. The first substrate has a plurality of first electrodes 12R, 12G, 12B, 13, second electrodes 14R, 14G, 14B, 15, and third electrodes 16R, 16G, 16B, 17 arranged adjacently to one another and are extended in a first direction. The third electrodes are provided between the first and second electrodes. The second substrate comprises a plurality of fourth electrodes 21 extended in a direction nearly vertical to a direction where the first, second, and third electrodes are extended and are arranged in parallel one another; a barrier rib 23 for dividing a cell laterally; and phosphors 24, 25, 26 having a plurality of colors applied between the barrier ribs.
