<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for treating NOx of a waste treatment facility capable of keeping the NOx concentration to a constant level or lower at an outlet of a chimney by indirectly predicting the generation of thermal NOx. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus is equipped with a secondary combustion chamber 2c for supplying secondary air to a flue gas generated in a melting furnace 2, a denitrification catalyst apparatus 6 for reducing and decomposing NOx contained in the flue gas with ammonia or the like, a controller 9 for carrying out feedback control of the injection amount of ammonia or the like based on the NOx concentration at the outlet of the denitrofication catalyst apparatus 6, an oxygen concentration meter O1 and a thermometer T1 for measuring the oxygen concentration and the temperature, respectively, in the secondary combustion chamber 2c, and a computing apparatus 8 for predicting the concentration of thermal NOx generated in the flue gas based on the measured values, and the controller 9 is constituted so as to carry out feed-forward control of the injection amount of ammonia based on at least the predicted value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
