<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To authenticate with a card by a simple operation and to assure safety of card authentication. <P>SOLUTION: The card 100 includes a plurality of electronic tags T1 to Tq. In addition, a reading part of an electronic tag reader 1 includes a plurality of reading areas R1 to Rp. The electronic tag reader 1 reads electronic tag IDs from one or more electronic tags ot the card 100. A reading means 21 generates one or more pieces of counterpart information by combining the electronic tag IDs inputted from the electronic tag reader 1 and area IDs corresponding to reading areas where the electronic tag IDs are read. A judgment means 22 judges whether or not data which coincides with one or more pieces of the counterpart information generated by the reading means 21 exists in authentication data stored by a counterpart authentication storage part 31.
