PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading apparatus capable of obtaining an output signal with little influence of jitter. SOLUTION: The image reading apparatus 100 is provided with an image processing LSI including a clock generation circuit 121 for generating a clock signal, a frequency conversion circuit 122 that operates by a clock signal of frequency different from that of the clock signal and an image processing circuit 123 and with a jitter elimination circuit 150 for eliminating jitter of the clock signal generated by the clock generation circuit 121. The jitter elimination circuit 150 is constituted of a PLL circuit including a phase comparator for comparing a reference clock signal with a feedback clock signal in phase and outputting a phase difference signal, a loop filter for smoothing the phase difference signal and outputting a control voltage, and a voltage controlled oscillator for generating a feedback clock signal of frequency corresponding to the control voltage.
