PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upper turning body of construction machine capable of effectively utilizing a space made between a hydraulic oil tank and a hydraulic pump as an installation space or the like of equipment. SOLUTION: The inside of a side beam 30 of the upper turning body 2 is mounted by blockage plates 31 and 32 to form a closed space, opening sections are formed in front and behind in a side plate 30b of the side beam 30, mounting seats 33 and 34 are fixedly provided around these opening sections, a connecting section 35a of a piping 35 from the lower surface of the hydraulic oil tank 14 is fixedly connected to the mounting seat 33, a connecting section 37a of piping 37 is fixed also to the mounting seat 34 in the rear side, and the other end is connected to a suction port of the hydraulic pump 18. Beam members 41 are constructed in front and behind between the side beam 30 and a main beam 20 to mount pedestals 42 installing equipment 40 on them. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
