PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method and a structure for a joint part with imperviousness to water, which enable a cut-off material to exert predetermined performance, by surely preventing the intrusion of sediment into the joint part in the driving of an impervious panel, and which enable the cut-off performance of the joint part to be easily and rapidly checked. SOLUTION: The first impervious panel 102 is driven into the ground 108 in a state wherein a packer 105 for preventing the intrusion of the sediment is preinserted into a female joint part 102b. After the impervious panel 102 is driven, the packer 105 is pulled out from inside the female joint part 102b while slurry is injected. A male joint part 102c of the second impervious panel 102 is inserted into the female joint part 102b, and the cut-off material 111 is attached to both an inner peripheral surface of the female joint part 102b and an outer peripheral surface of the male joint part 102c in a sandwiched manner, so that the cut-off property of the joint part 106 can be ensured. Slurry is stored in a cavity 107 between an inner peripheral surface 102e of the male joint part 102c and the inner peripheral surface 102f of the female joint part 102b, and the monitoring of a water level is performed, so that the cut-off performance of the cut-off material 111 can be checked.
