PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air enclosing shock absorption material and a shock absorption structure using the same which is not bulky in comparison with a thing made from conventional styrene foam. SOLUTION: Cells 11 of a strip shape formed in a series in the up-and-down direction are formed by being made to continue in the right-and-left direction in two or more pieces, the Cell 11 is a thing partitioned by a plurality of seals 13 being formed in a part between two resin-made sheets, a seal 13a for throttling is formed by being made to jut out in the right-and-left direction from the seal 13 in the intermediate portion 11a in its up-and-down direction, thereby, when air is filled up inside the Cell 11, it expands thin in the intermediate portion 11a and thick in both the end portions 11b, the air enclosing shock absorption material and the shock absorption structure using this are provided in which a level difference 12 projecting in the thickness direction so as to align in the right-and-left direction is formed in the boundary line between the intermediate portion 11a and both the end portions 11b by the difference of these thicknesses.
