PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle diagnosis system, capable of easily coping with OBDIII using a conventional OBDII system. SOLUTION: This vehicle diagnosis system 1 is provided with an engine ECU 2, a K-line 3 connected to the engine ECU 2, and a transponder 4 connected to the K-line 3. The transponder 4 receives a demand from a receiver system 5 by radiocommunication, reads diagnosis information in accordance with the demand, and sends the read data to the receiver system 5 by radiocommunication. The transponder 4 is provided with a data processing part 42, forms a demand message to read the diagnosis information from the engine ECU 2 to comply with communication format of the engine ECU 2, and changes it into communication format in compliance with the radio communication in transmitting it to the receiver system. The vehicle diagnosis system 1 is thus easily capable of coping with OBDIII by only adding the transponder 4. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
