PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent gas barrier laminate excellent in the adhesion of an ethylene/vinyl ester copolymer saponified matter film and a thin film comprising an inorganic oxide and gas barrier properties preventing the permeation of an oxygen gas or the like, reduced in the deterioration of the gas barrier properties even if exposed to the physical stress caused by pulling or the like and excellent in transparency. SOLUTION: The transparent gas barrier laminate comprises a laminate obtained by successively laminating a plasma etching protecting layer and a carbon-containing silicon oxide layer on one side of the ethylene/vinyl ester copolymer saponified matter film and the plasma etching protecting layer comprises a resin layer which comprises a mixed resin composition containing an acrylic resin and a polyurethane resin. When the yellowness degree of the laminate is set to (YI<SB>a</SB>) and the yellowness degree of the plasma etching protecting layer-coated ethylene/vinyl ester copolymer saponified matter film is set to (YI<SB>b</SB>), formula:ΔYI(YI<SB>a</SB>-YI<SB>b</SB>)<0.6 is satisfied.
