<p>According to a signal received from a mobile terminal, a base station creates power control data for each predetermined time slot, transmits the data to the mobile terminal. According to the power control data, the mobile terminal controls power of signal transmission to the base station. During the transmission power control, the mobile terminal measures the reception level of a common pilot signal transmitted for each time slot from the base station and calculates a moving average of the reception level for each plurality of time slots. When the transmission to the base station is interrupted, the mobile terminal stores the transmission power and the moving average in the time slot immediately before. When the transmission to the base station is resumed, the mobile terminal adds a difference between the moving average upon the transmission resumption and the stored moving average upon the transmission interruption to the stored transmission power upon transmission interruption and uses power obtained by the addition as a signal transmission power upon transmission resumption.</p> |
