PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently manage and update information indicating whether content distribution is possible or not, survival conditions of content node devices, etc.

SOLUTION: In an information distribution system, a first node device has a discrimination information transmission means which transmits peculiar discrimination information in order to request a second node device to transmit node information showing an information storage node device having specific common information stored therein, and the second node device includes; a means for storing discrimination information and node information showing an information storage node device wherein common information corresponding to the discrimination information is stored, while they are associated with each other; a means for retrieving node information corresponding to received discrimination information when receiving a request for specific common information from one of a plurality of node devices; a means for transferring the discrimination information to the information storage node device in the case that node information corresponding to the discrimination information is stored in the storage means; a means for judging whether transmission of the specific common information from the information storage node device is possible or not; and a means for updating information stored in the storage means in the case that the transmission is impossible.
