摘要 Aldehydes and/or alcohols are obtained by the reaction of an olefinically unsaturated compound with a mixture of carbon monoxide and hydrogen at elevated temperature and pressure, the product which contains cobalt carbonyl being treated with an oxidizing substance in the presence of an anhydrous organic acid which forms a divalent cobalt salt insoluble in the oxo reaction product and the precipitated cobalt salt being separated and recirculated in an organic liquid as a catalyst for the oxo synthesis. The preferred acids are formic and acetic acids and the oxidizing agent may be air, oxygen, a peroxide or a peracid. The process is applicable to the treatment of all aldehydes obtained by the oxo process, for example those obtained by the hydroformylation of ethylene, propylene, butylene, heptene, diisobutylene, propylene trimer, propylene tetramer, dicyclopentadiene, cyclohexene, oleic acid, linoleic acid, linolenic acid and tall oil fatty acid. The hydroformylation may be carried out at 30-150 DEG C. Examples are given of the hydroformylation of propylene, diisobutylene and propylene trimer. The aldehydes obtained may be converted to alcohols by hydrogenation.
