<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain an image forming apparatus and an image forming system where the deterioration of image quality caused by a jet mark and the deterioration of image quality caused by a discharge mark are appropriately traded-off. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus having a transfer part for transferring a developer image to a medium is equipped with a fixing part for fixing the transferred developer image on the medium and provided on a more downstream side than the transfer part in a medium moving direction and at a position where the length of a medium moving path from the transfer part to the fixing part is shorter than the maximum length of the medium usable in the image forming apparatus, and a control part for controlling the intensity of transfer electric field obtained when the transfer part transfers the developer image to the medium based on the kind of the image formed on the medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
