PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable it to perform easily switching with wide-area broadcasting and local broadcasting. SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus includes local broadcast recognition means 104, 105 for recognizing the service area of the local broadcasting, and having a radio interface for receiving a radio signal from a radio transmitter installed near the service area of the local broadcasting; and reception setting means 101, 103 for setting the local broadcasting receivable according to the output of the local broadcast recognition means.
