PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent variation in recording characteristic between an outer circumference and an inner circumference, in a roll paper printer. SOLUTION: An inner face 22a of a flange 22 has a guide plate 28 projected vertically from the inner face, and at least an outer peripheral face of the guide plate 28 is in parallel to a recording paper 12 face in an axial direction of the roll paper 16. The outer circumferential face of the guide plate 28 supports the recording paper 12 by the length of two rounds separated and drawn out from the rolled part 16a, and make the recording paper be spaced from the rolled part 16a and around the rolled part 16a. Therefore, the surface and back face of the recording paper 12 by the length of two pieces of the roll paper 16b are exposed to the outside air before being sent to a printing process.
