PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inspecting armature cores capable of inspecting form tolerances with ease and high accuracy. SOLUTION: A section 15 for measuring waveforms produces a plurality of measurement data Da-Dc, indicating each of uneven changes at each measurement point, based on each of waveform signals Sa-Sc outputted by a plurality of sensors 2, respectively arranged so as to face a cutting plane of each core sheet, in particular, a plurality of different measurement points in the thickness direction thereof. A calculation section 16 divides each measurement data Da-Dc, inputted from the section 15 for measuring waveforms, into a plurality of sections predetermined to evaluate the validity thereof, by determining the presence of noise components caused by a break section for each data thereof. Based on the evaluation, effective section data for each data are extracted, to produce inspection data Dt excluding noises caused by the break section, by combining each of section data thereof.
