PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock-up clutch device capable of preventing the generation of grabbing chatter by stick slip without cutting an outer peripheral side-surface of a frictional material, in a lock-up clutch device used in a torque convertor. SOLUTION: The drawing is a front view of a clutch piston 5 observed from a side where the frictional material 7 is stuck, the frictional material 7 is composed of an outer peripheral-side frictional material 71 and an inner peripheral-side frictional material 72, and 73 indicates a joint. A ratio of diatomaceous earth of a filler in the outer peripheral-side frictional material is more than that at the inner peripheral side, andμ-νcharacteristic of the frictional material has positive gradient, thus the generation of grabbing chatter by stick slip can be prevented. Further as a coefficient of static friction is increased by adjusting components of the filler including a friction adjusting agent in the inner peripheral-side frictional material, a clutch can be more firmly engaged.
