PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hoisting device for an elevator capable of easily hoisting a heavy driving device. SOLUTION: This hoisting device for an elevator is provided adjacent to a car 6 and a counterweight 5 elevating through a pulley, which are connected to each other through a rope, to hoist the driving device for elevating the car 6 and the counterweight 5 by transmitting driving force to the rope. A hoisting support 1 as a hoisting point of the driving device 2 is provided to be fitted to a counter rail 4 for guiding elevation of the counterweight 5 and extended from the counter rail 4 to be positioned on the vertical projection surface of the driving device 2.
