PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering damper device, capable of achieving desirable damping characteristics in such a way that damping moment is not generated almost at all in a range of a small handlebar turning angle, and that high damping moment is generated in a range of a high handlebar turning angle. SOLUTION: This steering damper device comprises a damper 10 connected between a steering side member 4 rotatable around a steering stem 5 as a handlebar is operated and a car body side member 6 that is not rotated even when the handlebar is operated to add damping force to rotation of a steering side member 4 when a handlebar is operated. Damping force added from the damper 10 to the steering side member 4 is set small when the handlebar steering angle is close to 0°, and becomes larger as the handlebar steering angle becomes farther from 0°.
