PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve weight reduction of an auxiliary drive unit, and to realize an improvement of output per unit weight and an increase of capacity of supply energy. SOLUTION: This hub device is a drive torque generating mechanism which can generate sustainable drive torque to a disc rotating about a rotary shaft, and comprises a rotating disc which rotates about a hub shaft 11 of a rear wheel of a bicycle, optional number of liquid channels 26 provided radially from a rotation center on one side or both sides of the rotating disc, a pump mechanism for supplying liquid to the channels, a pair of hub followers 12 and 14 attached rotatably to the hub shaft 11, a cylindrical member 24 interlocked with the rotating disc, and a transmission rotator disposed between the hub follower and the cylindrical member and interlocked with a rotation of the cylindrical member to transmit a power to the hub follower.
